Campaign Launch

On 3rd March 2026, an inaugural meeting of the ‘Campaign for the Lord Carlisle Heritage Trail’ was attended by 41 people. A majority vote accepted the proposed Constitution, and a committee was elected to help move the proposals forward.

Proposals were made to designate the route as both a Public Right of Way and an Asset of Community Value, with the aim to secure access for generations to come.

The Elected Committee held their first meeting on 10th March 2026.
